  Well, "free" in the sense that you don't pay extra. Basically, Denny Matthews and I are offering signed/personalized copies of "Tales from the Royals Dugout" and "Hi, Anybody!" for $20 each. Book: "Driving Mr. Albert" by Michael Paterniti. (Yes, from 2000, but didn't read it then.)

Book: Matt's reading through The Gay Talese Reader by Gay Talese, while wrapping up editing on Bill Self: At Home in the Phog, a book by Bill Self due out in October. 

Music: "Feels Like Home" by Norah Jones.

Book: Matt's still trying to finish No Ordinary Time by Doris Kearns Goodwin, while editing Guardians of the Game, a book due out this fall.

Music: Live at the Gorge by Pearl Jam.

Television: House. The writing of Hugh Laurie's character is fantastic.

 co-authored with Denny Matthews, gives an inside look at baseball and some of the game's goofball rules, through the eyes of Matthews, the Baseball Hall of Fame's 2007 Ford C. Frick Award winner. The book is now in stores!


 


The Good, the Bad & the Ugly: Pittsburgh Steelers, offers a look at humorous, painful and sometimes sad anecdotes throughout the Steelers' history. (We've been told it's a great bathroom read.)
